I’ll buy some curtains when
I get my raise.
and maybe I’m telling you,
So I’ll finally do it.
But drapes don’t feel as important
as a full tank of gas
and driving to church on Sundays.
But hey!
The house plants got so much light,
and my monstera’s been alive for almost a year.
I can watch the storms roll in,
and my neighbors wade through the night,
and when you pull into the parking lot,
I know you’re here.
